The Renaissance Project LA

Our Mission and Vision

Founded in 2001, the Renaissance Project envisions a vital, thriving New Orleans that engages residents from historically low-income communities of color in the rebirth of their neighborhoods as beautiful, safe, economically resilient, and culturally vibrant places where they enjoy access to good health, good food, quality education, economic opportunity, and civic participation across race and class for the common good.

We are a native-New Orleans, non-profit community development organization that works to improve the quality of life in low-income communities of color by increasing access to fresh, healthy food; improving education opportunities; catalyzing economic development and celebrating arts and culture.

The Renaissance Project focuses on integrated programs for poverty alleviation.
